O Palácio da Abolição em Fortaleza foi restaurado entre os anos de 2009 e 2010. As obras foram divididas em restauração, modernização e ampliação. Em seu auditório, foram instaladas 204 poltronas Kastrup modelo Itamarati, com revestimento em crepe de duas cores.
